We are visual creatures by nature, drawn
to certain colors (Tiffany Blue), and certain patterns (broadside posters). Packaging
is a way for a company to engage those particular nuances of the human brain. A
product has three seconds to draw you in, three seconds for the “hook” to sink,
and that is why the package design is so important. It’s also a vital form of
communication passed between company and consumer that is essential for anyone
that needs to stand out. Let’s explore the importance of packaging design.
Increase
in Sales:

consumer will turn into a purchase that will lead to future purchases. Future
purchases thus lead to an increase in sales.

This is a theory that attaches itself to the five senses; taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound. When a design is able to interact with more than one sense it stands a much better chance of sticking in the mind of the customer. People love being able to play, so give them something like the new Smirnoff bottle that you peel like a piece of fruit, and people will respond positively. *Check out my blog later on for more information*
